I once thought that was it, but I don't think he gets why anyone would purposely rent at the beach.
Dude is talking about leaving meemaw's mansion to his kids. In the corridor of shame. I think there's a level of something there you're missing.

Yeahhhh boi I’m going to the Dyrtle for the last weekend of SB too, albeit I’ll be in the posh end of town where there aren’t quite as many vape shops and payday loan places.

I’d rather they didn’t, poors are gross. I’m rooting for a recession, there are far too many undesirables and miscreants flying these days, now granted not too many in the front of Delta planes, but still. Inflation is bad, but it isn’t like we’re in a middle class eating pop tarts and ramen economy.

Less people flying just means the airlines will cut down the number of flights

in order to still jam as many people as they can into a single flight. You won't notice a difference because the airlines always find a way to pack the plane like a can of sardines - economy be darned.
At this point, I'd just be happy with a requirement that people who can't properly fit within the confines of a single seat space must purchase 2 seats.
Yep - if need be have an airplane seat measuring board at the gate (similar to the carry on luggage measuring boards) with the "are you wider than this" lines clearly marked. Make everyone go through the board test before being allowed on the plane. Those that can't fit within the lines of the board have to buy 2 seats and if the extra seat is not available - sorry fat boy - you don't fly on this flight. The only exception to the seat board test is for those that planned ahead and have already bought 2 adjacent seats because they know they are fat and need 2 seats...
Yes... Yes I am discriminating against fat people because I don't want their fat legs, fat sides or sweaty fat bingo wings oozing over into my "regular people size" dedicated seat space.

Hmmm … this sounds razzist.
Next, the airlines won’t be offering Little Debbie’s and Twinkies for desserts in first class.

I don't ever recall there being a posh end.
Murrel's Inlet with more bikes and Cherry Grove with more families, but inbetween it's all the same redneckery.

Yep... I've only been to Myrtle Beach once since they tore the Pavillion down...

I was still in the military at the time and hadn't been to Myrtle Beach since before my first tour in the military (about 20 years at that point). Wife and I went there for about 5 days and said "never again".
I was kind of taken aback at the number of confederate flag swimwear and towels on display by the other patrons along the beach. I thought that kind of thing had gone out of style many years before. Then there was the competing bike gangs of different "cultures" all over the strip. Overall - the place didn't look or feel like a family oriented vacation spot anymore but rather a weird blending of a redneck riviera meets Freaknik. Definitely not our cup of tea....
A few years later we got stationed in South Florida where I could be sitting on one of 3 beaches within 30 minutes of the house (Hollywood Beach, Lauderdale Beach, South Beach). From that point on I've become somewhat of a beach snob. I hate the murky, churned up tide water that exists along South Carolina's coast and won't even bother going to those beaches now. Instead we make a trek to the Gulf Coast in Florida (Longboat Key) twice a year to get our beach fix. Love the clear, emerald water with a very manicured beach where the other patrons are decidedly not the same class of folks you find at the dirty Myrtle.
