It was big in Greenville and half the kids I knew in town were at Litchfield/Pawleys for it, but kids I met at Clemson from other states had never heard of it.
TN people definitely don’t do it now.

Young'uns and ferners don't know or understand the difference between Parker and Berea. I guess because Parker has been gone for almost 40 years! Two distinct communities back in the day, but everybody knew everybody. I went to Parker, but grew up with, went to church and elementary and middle school with lots of people that eventually went to Berea High.

Through a 2x4 and head on down the hill to mix it up with the Poe Mill riff raft.

this event is pretty uninspiring I suppose.
Yall are the people who drove me AWAY from ever being interested in living on the coast. "> Plus the Ohioans, obviously.

Senior exams and graduation while the underclass folks were still in school. No Freshmen sophomores or juniors allowed
Drinking age was 18. Closed down a different bar every night. Basically a week long vomitfest. I spent all the money I got from my aunts etc for graduation. It’s a wonder no one died.
Sophomore and junior year went the 3rd week of June for the annual SHS Beta Club Bonding Trip to North Myrtle. Basically a Nerds Gone Wild sort of thing. Rented the same house on Ocean Drive (OD the Place to Be!) every year that had 3 bedrooms and a bath on each side with a huge open kitchen dining living room in the middle. Tasted my first beer and caressed my first bare bosom on those trips. The poor chaperones had no clue.

My girlfriend got a house with other girls. One of the girls there had a no boys policy... and was a bee about it. So i stayed at a house with two of my brothers friends and their girlfriends.
Long story short, one day/night i was out, friend A hooked up with some other girl, friend B tried to hook up with friend A's girl and they bith kicked him out.
When i got back to the house, both girls asked me to stay... like they were in the den asking me to stay... together... i did not. I left and slept in my car...
I ended up marrying my then girlfriend, but i missed out on a 3some... yall discuss if i made the right decision.

Ocean Lakes, New York. It was an actual house in there. My future wife was staying in Folly Beach, NJ.
If i recall, that drive was 106 miles... i made it in 54 minutes.

One at Pawleys, and two at Garden City. Great times. Much beer to be had, many wimmens too.
Too many stories and not enough hours to type them. Plus, not sure the statute of limitations on a few of our debaucherous shenanigans.
My dad used to go and he would shag at the Pawleys Pier and later at The Pad in Dirty Myrtle, before it was so dirty.

Barely had enough money to pay for room, split 3 ways, buy gas, cigarettes, alcohol, and weed, and some crap food for a week. Went again for several years after that where we felt like grizzled veterans amongst a bunch of kids who were vulnerable to our superior experience and knowledge. LOL!

in a 4-unit building on Ocean Blvd, with girls from our crowd staying in another unit. Worked out well. Some guys we didn't know stayed in another unit, got wasted on liquor they had dispayed on a car out front, got thrown out the first day. Good times.
I got pulled over for driving too slow, flirting with a girl on a bicycle. Didn't get a ticket or a date.

Growing up 15 minutes from the beach didn't necessitate us to rent a house for a week at said beach.
I probably dodged quite a few bullets by not participating

one hotel in Dirty Myrtle and had to get an adult to rent us another room. I have no clue where we got kicked out of or where we ended up, but they were all dumpy hotels.
My friend had a place at Ocean Lakes so in College we ended up there after exams lots of years.

We blew up the radiator in another friends dad's truck. Made a wrong turn coming home then drove around aimlessly until I saw a sign for 321 then knew I could get home from there.
