It's been, I guess, 4-6 years since I've logged into TNet. I've been a long time reader since 09, when I stumbled across this site as a young teen. In regards to the baseball team. Give it time people! Yeah, it sucks losing our regional, nobody is denying that but Monte is a great hire. Next year, I think we host again. I'm going to give it 2 years though till we make it to the Supers (hoping I'm wrong and we make it next year) but baseball isn't like football. You don't immediately make a turnaround from subpar to national contender in one year. I'm disappointed in this team yes. We had the roster to make the supers but the bats weren't there and the bullpen has been subpar at best this second half of the season. It was still a good year. Finished with a bad taste but still shown signs we are getting better.
Now onto football (my true love). When DW4 committed to us, I predicted we would win the National Title in 2015 (I was 1 year away, I'm glad I'm not a gambler). But onto my point, football in my family, particularly Clemson Football, has always been our "family time" event that would get us together and spend time with each other. We are diehards so to speak. I wasn't alive during the 1981 Title but I've watched it many times as a child when YouTube became a thing. I've watched Clemson Football since the 03 Chicken Kickn' (I was 8 years old at the time) and have watched Clemson Football religiously since. So to watch Dabo bring this program to its proper state, as it was meant to be, has been a dream come true.
Anyways, I'm going to try to comment regularly on the boards, give my input to Tiger Nation and see where it gets us. Sorry for the lengthy post and GO TIGERS!
