I’m throwing it out there right now.
They are going to get beat by Clemson and LSU by 2 TD’s each.
They are the fad of the pre season pundits. Haven’t done anything to earn it.
Also, I think Mike Norvell is a sub-par power five coach.

I personally want FSU to be undefeated when they waltz into DV.
With a returning QB like Travis; they have a shot no doubt.
LSU will be way better in year 2 under Kelly. I have no doubt of that.
Early season sometimes a team "isn't who they are going to be"! With no preseason in CFB; you never know what you are going to get.
FSU will be dangerous because they have a very good QB! They have some really good pieces on defense too(Verse).
I don't know much about LSwho - but I have semi-tracked B. Kelley since he was HC at Cincinnati. He will have them playing well. Despite his ways; he is a good ball coach!
I don't think FSU recruiting is on par with theirs(LSU) and it isn't on par with ours currently. Yes, they have transfers, but we will have to see what the transfers bring.
There have been many transfers who did exactly what they did at their 1st school: "Nothing"!
So, we'll see.

So hype has some basis.
Not sure betting against him and the Noles is a lock.
Noles biggest question mark is how the team gels with new players, manage the hype and handles adversity in game situations. Coaching and team leadership are unproven. Say what you will about Bama and even Ohio State, but their team coaching and intangibles are more proven

Yep they surprised people last year. Only losses to Michigan and Ohio state. Beat Utah in bowl game. Now they they have expectations they’ll fall flat on their face

I don't know maybe the history over the last 9 years? Even on the worst years Clemson has been in the race until the edge.

Well Judge glad you asked!!! We won 11 games last year with a struggling offense. Now unlike our basketball program, we did not settle for subpar and went and hired the best offensive coordinator out there for the last two years. As you stated, we are foremost a football school so for a team that has the second most wins over the last decade plus, I think we have earned it. Dabo made the decision to get better. Injuries affected us last year at WR and we will be back in the playoffs. Mark it down and we will probably wondering why we failed to make the NCAA March Sadness again with Brownell

in this era of CFB especially w/ NIL & the portal teams can look completely different from one year to the next.
TCU lost 7 games in 2021 and played for the national title a year later.
I'm not saying FSU does or doesn't prove the "talking heads" right, but "earning it" isn't a necessity to success.

I totally agree! Norvell has not demonstrated that he can build a solid and perpetuating program yet! You cannot have a successful team by re-building each season with one year wonders in transfers! You lose early games while trying to gain cohesion on both your offense and defense. Perpetuating programs are constructed through solid recruiting whereby you develop your players from within and have three years with each player in your system!!!! That is the only way!!!!

I agree. Norvell is not an elite coach. Many forget he almost single handedly lost the LSU game last year with his playcalling. Also could have beaten Clemson last year but kept getting too cute. He's not got killer instincts seems more surprised when he's in situations to win big games.
