Louisville Game

Thinking about traveling to the Clemson vs Louisville Cardinals game in a couple weeks. I have tickets but don't know very much about where to stay, park, etc. Hoping some Clemson fans that might be going to give some suggestions.

Fun trip and quite a bit to see and do outside the game itself.
We've stayed at the Homewood on Market Street a couple of times, the Hampton Inn on Jefferson Street, and the Hyatt Regency. We also stayed in Indiana once because everything in Louisville was either booked or grossly overpriced.
A couple of places we like to dine are Graham's, Holy Smoke's BBQ, and Bucks.

I stayed at the Homewood Suites on Market Street for our last game in Louisville. Nice Motel and close to the stadium.

The last time we went to the Louisville game, we stayed south near Elizabethtown. It's a nice easy 30 minute drive to parking at the stadium. To get there, I cut across KY from I-75 to I-65 so I could drive by and see my Mom's old farm.
There's reasonably close cash parking around Churchill Downs track unless you can find something closer on one of the ticket sites. We didnt have any problems.

And go by Marker’s Mark. It pretty cool to see how they make it and all. Plus you may need a some bourbon to help you through.

I am heading there too and recommend horse races at Churchill Downs at noon Sunday after game to experience track! Get a few hours of horses before heading out.

Not sure what you are wanting to spend on a hotel

but The Brown Hotel is a nice historic hotel there.
There are multiple hotels within a mile of the stadium, including Hilton Garden Inn, Staybridge Suites, Holiday Inn, Home2Suites, and Marriott Courtyard.
I’d definitely recommend checking out Churchill Downs. Louisville Slugger Museum is cool also.
Louisville’s campus isn’t that great IMO. You can tell that it’s largely a commuter school.

Two years ago, the parking lot for Whip Mix was opened up for $20 parking. Short walk to the stadium, easy in and out. Well worth it. If I go next week, that's where I'll be.
