https://www.postandcourier.com/sports/arrests-of-clemson-football-players-leave-their-loved-ones-fans/article_5d2ef0b6-4fbb-11e8-a5af-779c7725753c.html
This article is eerie in its description of the facts. I advise you to read it before flaming me. C.J. Fuller owns a white Mercedes? And they knew another unnamed football player with stacks of cash? No known rationale?
I’m not going to speculate, and maybe I listen to too many podcasts, but their seems to be a bigger story here. We’ve got a ton of people saying the same thing (shocked) or saying nothing at all. (I personally don’t trust the local Clemson media to get the story right. They make more money blowing smoke and telling fans what they want to hear.)
Deep in my Clemson loving heart I hope to God this is a simple case of three men in an act of desperation. However, I’m mentally preparing for something worse. I suggest you at least think about the possibility before you thumb this post down.

If they are willing to commit the crime I would guess the stacks of money are from drugs or possibly other robberies they got away with. Doesn't indicate Clemson paid them in any way. I'm calling coot on this one.

I'm not jumping on the "Clemson does nothing to skirt the rules why everyone else is cheating" bandwagon, but these facts aren't exactly hard to explain away.
"C.J. Fuller owns a white Mercedes?" Okay? What year is it? How many miles are on it? Like any luxury car, Mercedes vehicles depreciate very quickly. You can go on truecar.com right now and find several 2011/2012 models for less than $10K. If we're talking about him driving a 2016, sure there's something fishy there. If we're talking about him driving a 2002 that could be a car that was bought for less than $5K. At that point its more fishy if he's driving a 2012 civic.
"And they knew another unnamed football player with stacks of cash? No known rationale?" The victim is supposedly a walk-on OL. There are several places any reasonable person would go before thinking he was being paid to play for Clemson.

Choices have consequences. Part of the problem with the culture today is that we are constantly bombarded with all the BS of marketing, and advertising and what is normal for society. Unless you have a standard by which you reference as to what is truth, you are at risk to make bad decisions. Our country has turned away from the truth, and we are seeing the results these days. We have stood by and let government dictate to us what the truth is. We have let politicians sell out our country for money, and to think that at one time the USA was the greatest country on the face of this earth because our nation walked with the Creator of the Universe. I feel for the boy's bad choices, but they can over come it, but it will not be by trusting in men. Same thing with our country, if this nation doesn't wake up then it will suffer judgment. I our congress is a group of self absorbed phonies who are only looking to enrich themselves. Our nation doesn't have the stones to make them honor their commitment to serve the public. They have us serving them just like the Brits did back in the 18th century.

Politics and Religion do not mix. No where in the New Testament do we find our heroes playing politics. The only mention of anything slightly political was 'Render unto Caesar that which..."
On judgement day every man will give accord. I doubt God Almighty will excuse anyone because of the government which ruled over them. There will be no excuses for any of us. That includes you and me. Only The Blood of His Son will save us from the wrath to come.

You are a TROLL. Fuller owns a white Mercedes: his dad is an insurance agent and you can get a used Mercedes for $15,000. It didn’t say how new it was. Also for the large amounts of cash: for All we know the girl is a drug dealer and has a bunch of cash. There could literally be 100 reasons other than the University is involved.
Good bye COOT.

Why even bring it back up?? It got plenty of media attention. Newspapers are just trying to sale crap and maybe target Clemson because of what we have accomplished. You don’t always have to cheat to win.
IMO this article is an attempt to destroy that Family atmosphere at Clemson. Look at the Clemson program since TB and Dabo took over and you will find very little negative news like this where at SC it became an almost yearly problem.
Some people will do anything to bring down a successful program. News media other coaches, AD’s etc...

Several guys who were part of the Clemson family screwed up. If there is any widespread rot coming out of this mess, it'll hurt the program. We'd all hate that. The case will come to trial and some facts will come to light. As this happens the media, the authorities and people who want to get any and all rot brought to like will take a look at it.
Time will tell what the whole story is. Like the frat guy who died under the Seneca River bridge, some will be disappointed if the story really is simple straight forward and only involves screwing up. Usually, the simplest story is the real story. That's what I expect in the Fuller Johnson case.
Go Tigers!!

I don't care if a college student has a gun, but combine it with jars of cash, hidden around the apartment, one can only believe that some type of drug activity was going on. Most likely a small time weed dealer. Evidently, the girl friend didn't know of the cash, or was dumb to the fact that she probably implicated her boy friend in some type of illegal activities. Most criminals can rob other criminals and no one speaks. Sounds like she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sad for all involved more especially the parents and coaches who mentored these young men. I'd like to call this indiscretions of youth but robbery and armed at that screams the thug life which is glorify in our culture through the movie and music industries. Unfortunately these young men will now have a debt to repay, most certainly in the form of jail time. Hopefully they will rise above this mistake in judgement and become productive members of society.

If you've been under Dabo Swinney's program/direction/mentoring for four years, then I can't imagine you haven't been provided the tools to not only be successful, but be armed with the knowledge to make good ethical decisions and know the consequences of bad ones.
If those guys made a decision to commit armed robbery, then they knew exactly what they were doing and the results that would come with it. To me, it makes zero sense with what they had already accomplished and what they had going for them.
