So, if Texas were to secede
Nov 14, 2012, 4:18 PM

Would I get like a 24 hour notice so I could pack up my crap and high tail it for Louisiana, or would I be trapped and thrown into some kind of Texas reeducation camp? Also, the joke in Texas is the it might be annexed by Mexico before it even gets a chance to secede. The Mexican's are winning the war with babies, not bullets. Anyway, I might stick with South Carolina if it seceded, but Texas, nope.

Don't think either would last very long. Sc can barely keep their roads intact, let alone govern.

talking about.
I would personally organize thousands of like minded individuals and march to the State House, overtaking it within seconds due to the sheer terror of the politicians. After many weeks of blood shed and tears, we would be victorious all across the state, celebrating with fat blunts and beer for all involved. We would then become a flourishing manufacturing and agricultural hub with our main exports being BMW's and world class marijuana.

At minimum I'd go with an AR-15 with a 1911 .45 backup weapon. Bring your shovel as well, we're going to need to clean out some chicken houses for our growing operations.

I've got access to a couple gas masks, and my wife is a Vet, so she could do any needed amputations / doctoring if that helps.

I live in College Station, which isn't bad. Houston is a hell hole of traffic, heat, humidity and crime. Dallas is similar, except not quite as humid. Austin is cool if you like hippies and long horns.

Not much of a market, because I'm assuming the U.S. sets up some sort of naval embargo around Texas, and that means Mexico is the only route, and the U.S. has Mexico in it's back pocket.

I figure it would be a peaceful, thanks for being around for so long and good luck type thing. Not a vindictive ex-wife type thing.
