We will just pay the buyout and it will be reduced through mitigation. I'm sure he will end up elsewhere as an OC.

Seems so, but too many people have been suggesting his contract expires 1.2026.***

Did you really need this report to prove that T’Netters know a lot less than they profess?

No worries. A lot of info out there, so I cooked the OP to offer some clarity.

Does everyone remember when we hired Garrett

and his first season everyone was blaming every less than successful play or game on Dabo's meddling to just two seasons removed wanting Garrett fired for being a lame duck.
T-net is the reason why I hardly T-nets anymore.

The RB hand off between the tackles with zero motion is going to work, be patient. Sometimes it takes 300 tries to make it happen.

Hello, nice person. If GR & CU part ways, then the extensions w/ no raises...

are likely considered no more than a usual cost of doing business and has been a thang for a long time.
Most will point to recruiting as the reason for extending, as was the case when Ken Hatfield & CU parted ways.
Ken's 3rd year was not good, but the Tigers appeared to be turning things around in year 4. He and the University kicked around an extension in season, common practice, to galvanize the message to recruits of his longevity and the school's support.
Ken & the Tigers beat the Dirt Pecks in late November of '93, then the University informed him there'd be no extension. So when Clemson balked, Ken resigned with a negotiated buy-out of ~$600,000.00 or his remaining contract of 3 years @ $200,000.00 per annum.
That's Latin, darlin'. Evidently Mr. Ringo's an educated man. Now I really hate him.

He was Sonny Dykes' yes-man at TCU.
What happened to the physical, run-first variation of the Air Raid that he was going to implement here? The "Dirt Raid," right?

Sonny had Rhett Lashlee afore Garrett and had spoken with GR at a convention...

which became an interview. There are articles that chat up their relationship and how impressed Sonny was with GR.
I don't believe GR was necessarily a yes-man, neither was Rhett, but like every head coach, Sonny determines Game Control & Management. That is huge and often misunderstood.
I do believe in the path and the learning curve for everyone. I don't know where Rhett, then GR lived on that curve at the time as it related to Sonny as the Head Man in Charge, but Rhett joined SMU with a lot of OC experience, while GR's first year as OC was with Sonny.
Also, for all of those mentioned, Lincoln Riley, others included, the numbers suggest they all pray at the same church, many of them Leach guys that turned away from the Air Raid. IMO, for dang good reasons, they decided to be more "Smash-mouf Spread", $1 to theChad.
IDK what happened, I do wonder if GR wasn't quite done cooking before walking into the expansive support staff program that was Clemson. That might have been a bit overwhelming.
