I thought it'd be worse, but the legal system deemed it a misdemeanor and is allowing PTI. A 3 game suspension is right in line with that.

I hope his replacement does great and Lakips only kicks are in meaningless mop up action or let him kick off and cover on special teams. he had a great opportunity and he he squandered it

Most every person/college student does something stupid at least once. I have no idea if he was a habitual, occasional or first time user but he deserves an opportunity to EARN the trust of his coaches and teammates back. He has not had any previous problems that I am aware of, which is a substantive piece of this puzzle.
If he has another incident of this nature, then I would agree he should be kicked off the team. Now, I have three kids, all who are really wonderful people but they have each made mistakes and EARNED their way back into our good graces. There were consequences to their poor judgment but I didn't condemn them based upon a single event.
Let's give him a chance to redeem himself and maybe, just maybe, it will be a lesson that serves him and his family and society well for the rest of his life.

Lakip being on the team and eligible to play, doesn't mean he will. Dabo teaches be ready for the opportunity...it cuts both ways. Lose your grip...you may lose your job. Regardless, lessons learned are valuable.

I disagree with Wake Forest being allowed to play division 1 football . There are high schools in Texas and California with larger stadiums and comparable student body populations .

That whole thread is hilarious. I especially like the guy who claims moral superiority to make palatable a perpetually losing program.
And for the record, using Cocaine does not cause a "fixed blank glassy glaze about the face" quite the contrary, it causes a wide-eyed frenzied look that can lead to humping tractor tires, garbage cans or other inanimate objects.
