It occurs to me shouldn't we also be asking if Graham Neff is Clemson's best AD ever? All those grumps from a few years ago who said he was too young and inexperienced are now looking like the folks who said the same thing when Dabo was hired; probably a lot of the same people. His hires have been great, his support of our already high performing teams is excellent, and the way he navigated the GOR and law suit situation was top notch; he made FSU'S handling look amateur.

I like the direction we are headed and the fact that all 3 major men's sports are highly ranked. However...we haven't won anything other than the ACC football title, yet, which is not rare for us. We need to win something significant before this year can be in consideration for "best ever".

Agreed. Right now the 3 best years in Clemson athletic history are

1981/82, 2016/17, and 2018/19. I'd have to look at what happened in the other sports to differentiate, but it would take A LOT of success in non-football sports to trump any season we won a national title in football. Maybe if we win the CWS and make the FF this year it would at least get into the conversation.

He definitely has the bandwidth to take a deep dive and find the low hanging fruit for Clemson to circle back and find unprecedented success in this new normal.
And thanks to the proverbial list he keeps in his right hand desk drawer, he has made some hires that move the needle.
