Professional sports are 100% about the $ just like Amazon and Walmart.
Seems these days college sports are the same.

That is not greed, but finding the sweet spot where investors profit.

interesting that you mentioned walmart. of course recently one of sam waltons daughters and heirs to the walmart dynasty spoke out against trump and the immigration thing going on. I know she is known to be very liberal and support so called woke agendas. for full transparency i'm no trump fan or republican champion....(nor dem)....

I always heard stories growing up that Sam Walton was a goooood christian man from arkansas/oklahoma and instilled his working christian ethos in the fabric of what became walmart.

However with further digging, not surprisingly that is just a completely fabricated front, the reality is he was military intelligence equiv of cia he was over supplies of prisoners of war, particularly asians, long story short he took his skills of budgeting and psychological knowledge of cheap asian labor/ culture and applied it to the business model of walmart. always seeing how cheap he could get labor for, many many times voting against a minimum wage in america for his workers.............but just remember he's a good christian man he went to church.......his children who he left about 25 billion to each took his mindset on steroids and applied it and you can see what walmart is today.

If I own/run a joint selling pizza or trinkets, I can be as political as I choose.
If I am part of a group of investors, I must run the business to insure max profit.

Constantly folks in big business get into power positions and go woke or unwoke to force their agenda on consumers.
In time that is always rescinded and they are expelled as the bottom line is --> profit.

Profit for investors is not bad - it is good.

Last year we were in St Lucia and saw a huge yacht that we identified as being owned by the Walton’s daughter. I think Google said it was worth about $300 million. Poor lady!

The days of free anything ended some time ago.
It's a pay-for-play world my friend.
