I have a business associate that lives in Queen Creek. His son has the same hitting coach as Tait Reynolds and he said that the kid has been infatuated with Clemson since he got back. As of right now he's canceled the rest of his upcoming visits.

What’s the story about his baseball skills? What position does he play? He committed to ASU in the 8th grade if I recsll right. He must be pretty talented at baseball.

It sounds like Riley really sees Reynolds as a great fit for what he wants from the QB position. The camp news was that he’s got a strong arm and much bigger than the weight listed in the recruiting profile. Perhaps up to about 215 lbs. As should be expected he’s still a very raw talent at QB but has more time in HS to get more polished.

He's an outfielder. I honestly don't really keep up with High School Baseball prospects, but my guy says that he's likely to get drafted in the later rounds upcoming draft.

How many identify with that experience .... one visit to Clemson = falling in love with the place. Hope his love for Clemson University lasts a lifetime like it has for so many of us.

The kid is about the same height and weight that TL16 was when he was being recruited to Clemson. How awesome would it be if he turns out to be as good, or close to being as good as TL16 was when he got to Clemson...

If you were to cast a movie about a High School QB being recruited to major programs, the actor would likely look a lot like him...but would not be able to actually rotate the hips or keep his base and head steady.(Movie athletes are amusing).

I hope we plan to take two QBs in the 2026 class. Given we are not able to attract the truly elite QBs due to NIL, we need to hedge our bets. We cannot afford to have only one QB option like the DJ years because if they underperform, we are shafted.

I don’t really think this is true … if we were left with absolutely no option we felt good about at qb I believe we absolutely could have pulled a guy like cam ward here… we have nil resources and kids still want to win believe it or not… imo it’s more about the culture and process Dabo wants to stick to and that’s a recruiting tool also.

We have experienced bad/average QB play for the past three years and don’t have a QB coming in for the 24 class. While there have been other issues such as the OL, there is no denying functional depth at QB has been lacking. We don’t seem willing to play the NIL/portal game so the only option would be to take more QBs out of the HS ranks. Otherwise, we risk additional years where we have a great D but no functional offense

That almost 275 million & almost 200 million guaranteed 5 year deal Trevor just signed won’t hurt our chances either!
