I think it's pretty cool looking. I have been to many a game in the valley that I would have KILLED to have shade. :)

enough to resist the loads from a covering. The weight isn't necessarily the issue. I think it's the wind load, horizontal and perhaps even a lift load with the wind blowing is some directions.

I'd say it'll cost a pretty penny to make shade happen in the upper deck. The ticket prices indicate that the tickets are already too expensive to fill that area. It appears the Econ department has provided a ticket-price model which will max out profits rather than put more butts in the seats.

That may not be true for I have no idea what the economy is doing to prospective attendees.
