There is your Heisman winner..

As much as I would love Trever to win it, I think his ability is just phenomenal and what a year he has had. At least if Trevor isn’t going to win it, no other QB should win it. Hats off to you Smith...

I don't believe a receiver, regardless of talent, can win a Heisman.
It's an award for qbs and running backs.

Yeah but no disqualified player position for the reward and receivers have won it in the past even if been awhile. Smith has had a great year for the award and has the odds in his favor before today.

12-15 touches per game should not win the Heisman. Hype machine of #1 team.

if he wasn't out for two games. I don't really see how that has any bearing. Either you think he's the best or not. Being out for two games because of COVID shouldn't matter.
Fact is the award goes to the stat leader on the best team. Most of the voters don't really watch all the players or games so they just listen to the hype machine.

He actually missed three games when you count FSU. And all three of those games would’ve been games that he would’ve put up huge numbers in!

Exactly. ESPN used that as their crutch to take his name out the mix until they had to add it back in when he came back with a vengeance. The Heisman is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. These days it is given, not earned. It’s simply a popularity contest promoted by ESPN. For example, listen to how many times the announcers have promoted Smith during this game.
