We swap baked items pretty regularly. LilSlac2 bakes a good bit…breads, cakes, cookies, etc. always leaves some on their porch. Anyhoo, neighbor texted, “left something on your porch, had a lot of miscellaneous baking ingredients so I made kitchen sink cookies “. Yum! Thanks.

Upon retrievial of the plastic wrapped plate, I see the delights are chock full of interesting ingredients. Chocolate pieces (not chips, looked like she chopped up some kind of bar chocolate), some kind of white chip, coconut, oatmeal maybe? is that’s pecan? Lil bit of err’thang like she said.

First bite wonderful, some chocolate, some coconut, ooooh butterscotch! Second bite I appreciate the pleasing chewy texture. Third bite….RAISIN!!! Gahhhh! Who puts raisins in cookies?!?! Blech! I am a long-standing member of the raisins suck crowd. Oh well, I’m certainly not going to tell the neighbor she sneak attacked me with a cookie, she’s a nice lady.

So what say ye? Raisin good or raisin bad, Lunge?

with raisins.

The whole pan would not last more than 6 hours.

Raisins are nature's candy.

And, candy is a good thing. I second the oatmeal raisin cookies, by the way.

Agree totally, raisins are excellent, especially when used in a crunchy snack!

raisins are a tasty treat alone or dipped in copious amounts of milk chocolate.

and they’re great to use as varmint shid droppings as pranks. butt never in a cookie.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

Raisins are grapes that didn’t pass the muster to be turned into wine. So, they were tossed out back as feed for the farm animals. The marketing department was consulted when even pigs wouldn’t eat the. Bob had a viola moment. “We’ll package them and convince humans they are delicious! They will buy anything!”

I saw it in a History Channel documentary.

Gotta admit, didnt expect all the raisin advocacy in this thread.

You’ve all made the list, sworn enemies of the anti-raisinites. We support grapehood, but nothing but death to the shriveled little fruit pustules known as raisins.

And why the F did craisins EVER happen?
