Now that Swinney Claus has delivered on so many wish list items, who or what, I wonder, will we (and by we I mean many of you) blame next season if the team doesn't deliver an incredibly rare (AP Poll era) fourth* natty?

I do think most expect to see meaningful improvement.
Although we won the ACC this year, we regressed on defense and on special teams. We did not play like a well-coached team for much of the year. I would like to see improvements there.
I believe we have the administrative and fan support to be one of the top football programs in college football. I simply want us to make progress toward that and fulfill our potential.

It's entirely reasonable to expect a team this talented, led by arguably the greatest active head coach in the land, to win a national championship next year if they make the improvements you've suggested.

In football, revisit the returning players for next year after a playoff run this year. Itās certainly not LOL worthy but you just canāt standby without the blowoff.

Iād say we will be much closer than we were this year. I expect Clemson to win the ACC and make the playoffs. Maybe you missed it but Clemson was in a one score game in the fourth quarter with one of the final four teams, In their house. Due to zero run defense and no running back Clemson lost. I expect Dabo to fix that problem for next year.
We will be close to being a national championship contender.

I think most of us have forgotten what it truly takes to win a national championship. Everything has to lineup perfectly as good as Georgia has been even they have fell off the mountain top. And they are getting the top athletes way better recruiting than what weāve been able to do. We get too spoiled too fast and none of us or anything but armchair quarterbacks that donāt have the keys to the car.

hope of a Natty in basketball as long as he is our coach. FOOTBALL on the other hand, should have a chance to actually compete for one next year. Now, HOPING for another Natty is different than EXPECTING another one. I certainly expect us to be significantly better next year, but, as in every season, things have to fall our way to take it all the way.

Actually seeing a QB develop is different for me. Both Deshaun and Trevor seemed to regress some when they were here. Both of them threw more pics per game after their first year as the starter.

For me personally, there are plenty of outcomes for next season that I'd be quite happy with that don't involve closing out the season with a national championship.
