If he had kept his mouth shut and just taken the job and left town, then no problem. But to trash talk the public school system and the town is just the epitome of no class. I wil always pull against his teams.

I don't know the exact words he used regarding the public school system in Clemson or the community (perhaps you can refresh my memory), but it should be no surprise to anyone that the public school system in Knoxville MIGHT be better than that in Clemson. I would venture to say it's certainly better funded. Having said that, a community with a high number of college professors, many likely to have children, would be inclined to do whatever is needed to improve the academics. Some folk like a small town environment for their family. I guess he didn't...

He shatted on Clemson out the door to Austin, Texas. Which probably did have better public schools in 1998, but his salary should allow his kids to go to private school.
The secretary? discuss.

He didn’t speak out about the Rally Cat he was dating and his wife took offense to.

That was along time ago. Since he left Clemson he has become a strong Christian man. He made aminds to Dean Smith, and probably the people at Clemson. He took Tennessee to the Elite 8 last season and will always have them as contender in the SEC before he retires in the next few years.

I didn't appreciate what Barnes said after he left, but I enjoyed watching his Clemson teams play.

you can’t deny the fact he is a great coach! He did a lot for Clemson basketball in his short time here. Took them to a #2 ranking and the one thing I will never forget is him going nose to nose with Dean Smith. Looking back, he probably regrets the words he said when he left but his wife was driving that bus out of town, not him.
