I believe you were trusting your sources. These things have a life of their own (see Texas to Pac 12 last year) & anyone in business knows deals can fall apart at any time.

were giving you inside info about expansion, they'd have a lot more details about what was going on other than "Clemson and FSU to the Big 12...just sayin!" There's no reason what so ever to divulge the meat of the rumor and not tell the smaller, less significant pieces surrounding it.
If the deal then falls apart these sources should also know why it did and have details about what led to this. None of that was reported leading me to believe these "sources" were nothing more than some internet bloggers who York chose to believe.

If they don't like your posts, they shouldn't click on them and/or read them, period. They can always ignore you, so it's a moot point.
Your Big XII posts are interesting and all, but I actually enjoy your football-related posts more. Do you coach pee wee or something? Because you seem like you know what you are talking about when it comes to the actual football stuff. This whole situation is quite preposterous, so I'm hesitant to even address it, but I'd prefer to still be able to read your football content during the season. So if you do quit posting, only do it in the context of this conference realignment stuff.

My purely speculative read on this situation ...

1) York_Tiger is a good man and a good Tiger who somehow became privy to an inside Big 12 source in the midwest
2) Via 3rd party consultants, Clemson, FSU and the Big 12 were informally and seriously flirting and the path to Big 12 admittance was unofficially paved
3) The leverage created by Big 12 / Clemson / FSU flirtations were making the ACC Commissioner, Board and member institutions nervous, and it was creating some leverage outside of Tobacco Road
4) Based on the arduous time consuming path strewn with legal implications and followed by unexpected recruiting implications, Clemson started to get cold feet
5) Dabo met with TDP, Barker, and Clemson BOT and explained the SEC and other conferences were using possible Big 12 affiliation as a wedge to drive recruits (esp. Nkemdiche & friends) away from Clemson
6) Dabo received some assurances from Clemson leadership and immediately trumpeted to the media that Clemson would not under any circumstances leave the ACC
7) Big 12 board members and member schools began to feel a cold wind and began distancing the conference from Clemson. FSU/BYU or FSU/Louisville became frontrunners to join the Big 12 as expansion to 12 is absolutely in the cards
8) Winning solves everything. Clemson will be favored in 11 of 12 regular season games this year. Dabo and Clemson have lined up outstanding OC, DC and recruits. The next step is playing on the field at an equal level to our resumes
9) Once we produce on the field, Clemson will have regional/national popularity and brand power that we could have only dreamed of a few years ago. Everyone loves to be associated with a winner. Let's all hope this is our time
10) Meanwhile, as to York_Tiger, thanks for sharing. I absolutely believe your posts were based on the facts as they existed at the time. Thanks for your timely insights and best wishes in the future. Don't be a stranger
