Just read an article where Grill Marks in Greenville SC

is listed as having one of the best burgers in the country. Have never tried it. Has anyone in here had one and/or been there? Are they expensive? Are they worth it or not much better than going to Pete's or Carolina Fine Foods or King Tut here in Simpleville?
Need to be more adventurous and try new stuff and not just the same ole same ole, though there is a comfort in familiarity and routine especially as you get older. And not a big fan of heavy traffic as I noticed they have 2 locations in Greenville - downtown and Haywood Mall.

They are definitely tasty burgers. Reasonably priced in my opinion for what you get.
Best in the country, I don’t know about that. But would definitely recommend trying it.
If you like spicy go with the firehouse.
They also have incredible milkshakes

I read somewhere the Haywood location is going to close around the first of the year but the original downtown will continue on I guess.

I guess it depends on whose writing cause I just read where the best burger in SC was at Big Guns in Charleston.

I live in Greenville and tried their hamburger last year expecting something special.
I thought it was one of the worst hamburgers I've ever had.
But the milkshake was pretty good!

I prefer Bad Daddy’s over Grill Marks for burgers, but Grill Marks trumps them on other stuff. The freaks ahoy milkshake and the dirty Myrtle are classics in my book.

Yep. Haven't been in a while but Bad Daddy's on Woodruff was a thumbs up. I think they have one on Augusta Rd now too.

I have eaten at the downtown Greenville location and it was excellent. However, Furmans Burgers in Waynesville NC has the best smash burger with onions I have ever tried. Mmmmmmm.

I’ve been to the one downtown a bunch of times. My daughter used to work there in high school and early college. It’s a good burger, hard to say if it’s one of the best in the country but I’ve enjoyed it every time I’ve been there.

Been there downtown lots of times before going to shows at Peace Center. The burgers are good but not great. They DO have great milkshakes and their fried pickles are really good.

Grill Marks is not even the best burger in Downtown Greenville. That would be Windy City Burgers, 10/10.

We use to drive to The Rainbow Drive-in from high-school at Travelers Rest for lunch. It's closed now but they had the best burgers and onion rings.
