I hope so bc Al Golden ain't it....I watched us completely DISMANTLE his teams at Miami for years. I don't care if he has one successful year as DC under Freeman.
This is a huge hire and Golden doesn't meet the moment

To be perfectly honest, we don't or won't have our guy until Dabo names that guy. Any name that we can throw out there is nothing more than 2nd rated fodder at best bc the only person that actually knows who Clemson FB is after is Dabo and maybe his superiors. But it can sometimes be a little fun throwing names out there!!!

I like Leonhard.
I wonder if Dabo is concluding college football is over and need to have staff (coaches and others) with NFL experience.
All college teams gonna need GM type guys to carry roster management and negotiate contracts.
I’m not saying Leonhard will play these roles, but we do need to start building an NFL type program.

I think the NFL experience helps with both recruiting kids who dream of playing professionally and developing them since the coach knows what “the next level” looks like.
