Canadian Lumber

So, one in every ten "sticks" of the lumber used in the U.S. comes from Canada per the Premier of British Columbia. Stop panicking. For the U.S. to buy that stick of lumber, Canada needs drop the tariff and buy a steak from U.S. beef producers or a bucket of butter from Wisconsin with no tariffs in either direction. It only works when both sides is open to all goods.

Who modified what constitutes maximum imports raising the tariffs? Hint, it wasn't the U.S. I suggest asking President Auto-Pen why his admin stopped the suit charging Canada for violation of the the USMCA tariff agreement.

More like 2 to 2-1/2 sticks of lumber. Enough to drive a typical new home cost

up by $15k per the home building guys. We went through this in 2020/2021 and it was a mess. Good thing that everybody thinks we're headed to the economic toilet, or futures would be through the roof.
So - if you're trying to make a point, use the right facts.

about 25-30% of lumber used in US home construction comes from Canada, not 10% of sticks.

Yes, and Canadian lumber is far superior (in density and strength) v. US lumber due to the age of the trees/forests.

The U.S. has plenty of older trees. Once Green Peace has to pay their $660 million lawsuit and goes broke, they won't be able to pay tree huggers and the trees can be harvested.

We harvest our yellow pine at 25-30 years, and Greenpeace has nothing to do with tariffs, deflect, and change the topic all you like, you are talking out of your rear.
