Interesting how after a loss the naysayers are everywhere...but after beating a highly ranked team and a es[ecially a top ranked LEFTY pitcher they are nowhere to be found...maybe they are beginning to believe...hope so...we need to support these young guns...

My distaste for Leggett comes from years of underachieving. But if one win over a team that was beaten 24-12 last week makes up for it, more power to him

go back and read the history..I was there and was dissappointed...but so what we have the ACC to deal with and the USuC future will take care of itself...USuC has had a good run in baseB and that will come to an end as well...remember...nothing lasts forever and in some caes that may mean coaches...if so I will support that as well...

He is not a good coach. Leggett is our version of June Raines. Our program has been in a steady decline under his leadership. Numbers do not lie. Any coach who bunts a runner over in the first inning should lose his job. If bunting runners over in the first inning was such a great idea...why doesn't every team in the major leagues do it? Answer...it's stupid. Let's be clear this is baseball and I have no illustions that we will win every game, but losing 20 of the last 27 to South Carolina is completely unacceptable. Losing to Winthrop on your home field is unacceptable. Bottom-line, if you believe Leggett is the coach who is going to lead us to a national championship...I will have some of what you are drinking. Good coaches do not give outs away in the first inning. Outs are valuable! You oly get 27 a game, why would you give any of your outs to the other team? Bunting in the first inning is the sign of a weak team. Additioinally, it makes your team passive. You win by being aggressive. Attacking the other team wins not giving them easy outs. I could go on, but if you think about this objectively, not has a fan...you will understand. Bunting is for losers...if you disagree, look at our record the past several years.

so why dont you go apply for the job and coach since you are a better bleacher coach...he won the game...every coach makes some bad decisons over the course of a game...get on board and support these guys...

Winning one game over an overrated team does not make him a good coach. Dude, take off your Tiger glasses for a moment and be real. Our program is not very good. He is poor recruiter, the high school coaches in this state can't stand him (thank God for LeCroy), and he can't win the big game. Review the facts. What has he won during his 20 years? And don't tell me ACC championships! Those have been few and far between. Additionally, on of those championships was with Coach Wilhem's players. It's Naional Chamnpionships that are important! If those are not one you are playing for, then take the word Omaha of the back of the players caps.
As for me being applying for the job, I happy would if it were open. I am not a bleacher coach, I am a baseball coach and this is a simple game. You get good players and you let them play the game. You don't take the bat out of your number 2 hitter in the line-up in the first inning. Of course, you do not understand this concept because you are a fan and have zero undertanding of the game.

Over a top prospect and team, but since we haven't taken the series from scar since 2010 when they got hot at the end of that year and haven't looked back we should fire one of the best college baseball coaches in history. We won games against them each year, but not the series so Jack must go. Scar has been the best program in the country the past three years, if we had the upgrades they had it would be the same.
People at scar were saying fire ray tanner after we won the 2010 regular season series. But their young team got hot at the right time.
We expect jack to be a magician and go undefeated or something? This is baseball, Khalil Greene's don't just grow on trees, just like Justin Smoaks don't for scar. Got to have talent that can thrive in crunch time. Let these boys get seasoned, 1-0 in the acc, we could go to scar and win a regional, and certainly win one at home, and all of that is still on the table.
Let it play out.
