hey grandpaw, what's for supper?

here it's skinless, bone-in chicken thighs with jerk seasoning on the grill. Fresh local silverqueen corn on the grill, and some sides that Mrs No will do- I think fresh squash and brocolli. Washed down with red wine. Was super hot and muggy, then a big storm/downpour, now it's pleasant enough to grill.

milk gravy & onions. On da side I have a Poblano roasting in the oven stuffed with more onion, black beans and cheese.

3rd way I've cooked it lately, 2 nd time on grill. This time, cut excess ends off, tied husks with string, soaked in water. Microwave whole ears is still better.

But you may have noticed leaves are already falling. The days are shorter. Fall will be here soon. Apples are starting to come in.

today and the guy was doing ribs slow cooked and he put watermelon on them as they smoked 4 hrs.

Unless the sugar from the watermelon burns on the ribs, but would supply moisture a while with no maintenance
