We really should take a look at Kermit Smith from Lander. Young energetic coach to bring new life to the program. All time winningest coach everywhere he has been. has a history of building programs and taking them to new heights. His teams can flat out hit. Also he is a great guy with a great family. He has a personality similar to Dabo; may be just what we need

SULLY OR RANDY MAZEY.... why would we go to a small college Little experience coach
We need to go for a top notch name recognition coach. We have the money and since they dos not have to buy Jack out...we can afford a great salary!

I know Kermit Smith personally and while I agree that he is a great guy, in my opinion, at this point in his career he does not have the experience to recruit or coach in one of nations toughest baseball conferences.

An interesting suggestion. Smith is young, bright, and very well known respected in coaching circles. He has done a great job at Belmont-Abbey and Lander. Probably only a matter of time before he gets a D1 job. Probably a long shot at this point, but a better suggestion than the O'Sullivan/Corbin/Mazey suggestions, none of which will ever happen.
