I find Jay Bilas almost unlistenable...

every 30 seconds he has some kind of complaint. Either it's a stupid foul call, foul not called, bad basketball, bad play call, etc. I don't understand how he doesn't get fined by the 4 letter network.

Jay is exceptional though he does whine sometimes. Great writer and very needed in the college game. Your hate is misplaced.

Bilas is an intelligent, refreshing, reasonable, unbiased voice in the wilderness. He will on occasion point out missed fouls, but he makes those calls that look pretty obvious to me. Today, most of the missed fouls he bemoaned, were missed against Syracuse....not against his alma mater. I bet ACC officials don't like it.
I trust Bilas opinion to be honest, thoughtful, and not necessarily aimed at preserving the status quo....traits often sorely lacking in the Commissioner of the ACC
DickieV can frequently have intelligent things to say, but his butt-kissing and his over-the-top style have worn on me over the years.

Jay Bilas is very good. he knows he game as well as anyone on TV
he's called out the NCAA on occasion and been spot on
and Jay Williams is pretty good - although he doesn talk now and then about making the college game more like the NBA, which is a horrible idea

Bilas is one of the best commentators in any sport. He's very unbiased and calls it like he sees it. He's miles better than most of the crap we get like Vitale, Cunningham, and Palmer.

IMO (talking big time network commentators). He's the only one I've seen at any level that's willing to call it exactly like it is. Also he's easily one of the most intelligent.

I didn't know him though, he was two years behind me. One year behind me was Tracy Austin and in my grade was one of Mickey Roony's kids that did alright in Hollywood himself.

a HUGE arrogant ###. He is the Duke equivalent of UNCheat's Jim Lampley, they both pride themselves on being "intellectually superior" to the rest of us! I will be glad when he just goes away!

Jay is ok but Dakich is my favorite. Explains the game and calls out refs if need be without a bunch of antics
