1. Shocked and disappointed. Totally unexpected. As surprised as I was when Colorado beat TCU.
2. No vertical passing game. Why? No separation by WRs.
3. LB's acted like they had never seen a RB run a pass route.
4. OL couldn't protect CK, especially in first half.
But, still 3rd quarter was unbelievable.
1. 1st and goal at the one. Penalty. Missed FG.
2. 1st and goal at the 4. Fumble.
3. 1st and goal at the 1. Fumble.
Never expected to see any of the above. Instead saw it all.

I am somewhat shocked at poor LB play. The defense overall wasn't dominant and too many missed tackles, the most fundamental part. The little 6yd passes were open because DBs playing too far off.
End of night, we had 2 TD chances turned over, actually 3 then 2 missed field goals. We had the opportunity to win no problem but we kicked our own butts with bad hiccups.

I was shocked at the lack of use of the tight ends. We kept hearing they were going to be used a lot. Only one target in this game. Could it be Dabo didn’t want to show his hand to FSU? If so, it backfired on him. Still the 3 turnovers inside the 5 yard line(2 fumbles and a missed fg) were the biggest change of momentum in the game

the same low energy, low intensity, rain man that is our Defensive Coordinator. I'm sorry - I try not to be this way towards our coaching staff but a defense this talented and deep giving up 28 points up to Duke is unacceptable.
Players are a reflection of their coaches - our Defensive Coordinator screams "timid" and soft in his demeanor. Lord we miss Venables - if nothing else but for his intensity and "nut cutting time" demeanor.
PS.. Our Offense and special teams were abysmal as well. Not sure what bad mojo has infected Clemson football for the last 3 years but tonight sure feels like a low point that I haven't felt since Tommy Bowden was in charge.

Much like the Coot game last year. There were things tonight that I'm just shaking my head. We look like a bunch of freshman out there. Cade is not...not a freshman. He's been in the system for a long time. Give Viz a lot of snaps in the next two games.

Literally everything that could've gone wrong for Clemson happened tonight did.
All we can hope is that whatever voodoo got cast over Clemson's offense the last 3 years is finally used up after losing to Duke.
A long year is ahead and it can either be a climb back up to a respectable year or we can continue to deal with whatever tonight was. Team choice.

I agree. I don’t remember a game where it felt like everything we did ended with a mistake.
I heard the CU announcers say Clemson beat Clemson and think that sums it up.
