Last night I attended a neighborhood hen party. We get together once a month to eat, drink, and talk. Last night the hot topic was Kirby and his helicopter. Do you remember the Evans Ga OL recruit that coach Luke visited a couple of days ago? Well it seems Kirby paid him a visit this week. The scandal is that Kirby arrived to the school in his helicopter and landed it on their football field. Why the scandal you ask? This field has new turf installed and the local tax paying residents are not appreciating Kirby’s blatant disregard of landing his helicopter and potentially putting dents in the turf. I have heard that the adults in the building were not impressed with his little arrival stunt. If the turf is damaged, Columbia County BOE will not turn a blind eye to this situation because their taxpayers will not allow them.

That's ridiculous. Helicopters are not that heavy...especially the little one that Kirby was in.

The Evans HS player is Mason Short, a 4 star huge lineman. He changed his mind about Bama. About the field aren't all the Columbia County athletic fields now artificial turf?

Yes, all five county high schools now have turf installed.
A funny comment from my son this morning. He attended one of the other county high schools. He stated that Kirby landing the helicopter on Evans’’ field was the most exciting thing that that field has seen in awhile.

Well, field withstanding, it was a rude gesture to say the least. I hope the administration takes offense. But beyond that, is Kirby letting Luke do all the heavy lifting. Going to follow him around like a puppy because he knows Luke identifies talent.
Good gosh I hate that s o b and everything about uga.

Isn't that what many teams did a few years ago to Clemson. they would wait until Clemson would offer a player then try to swoop in and make an offer as well. Oscar Mayer (Urbin) was notorious for that.

There’s no way you land a helicopter at a school without getting approval first. And while it wouldn’t dent the field it sure as heck might blow a bunch of the fill pellets all over god’s green earth resulting in a return visit by the installers.

The HS coach definitely loved the ego stroke of having Kirby fly into speak with him.
I’m sure it was a bunch of the local yokels who just ran their mouth about something they had no involvement with. The claim that the taxpayers were not gonna let them get away with it, LMAO at that.
