Kicking Game

The kick did look good. Right down the middle on a “Gimmi- distance” kick. (Not trying to be sarcastic, the kick/ unit looked good). Interested to see how we do from 40-50 yard range. Our current style of football could really use a kicking unit that we can count ion for points if we can get the ball to the/ inside 35 yard line.

I am a little concerned about punting. Again our style of football , we need a bit more out of this position. Looking at the first half, UGA was having more success than us on offense and was slowly winning the field position game. We need a 50-60 yard punter and more spend on special teams to get return guy down. I feel like we have a 45 yard guy right now. Effort was there on Special teams but we need more speed.

As far as punting goes, most of the punts we had were from our 40 yard line give or take, so you don't necessarily want to boom those. He actually had two that could have pinned them around the goal line, but our coverage didn't get down there. I'm more concerned that our long snapper being the first one on the scene. But he did have a few 40 yarders and even a 50 yarder, so I'm not really concerned with punting.
