Tnet Lawyers: If the Acc decided to ..

Kick Clemson and FSU out the conference while replacing them with team X and Y and Espn decided to continue the current contract with the ACC until 2036. Would the Acc still own the media rights to both Clemson and FSU? Since Clemson and FSU signed the current GOR until 2036.

The Acc could take a vote and kick both Clemson and FSU out.
Replace them with 2 other schools.
ESPN continue the current contract until 2036.
Clemson and FSU who signed their GOR over to the ACC until 2036 would not be in the ACC anymore.
Does Clemson and FSU get their GOR back or would all home games played still be subject to the GOR?

Why not? Is it because Clemson and FSU would NOT be in the ACC anymore?

"kicked us out"... no, no they would not... contracts are written to be broken

meaning, any contract is going to have a provision for the self-interest of the parties involved. In this case, that would be Clemson.
For example, if the ACC were to say "we'll show Clemson, we'll just agree to a terrible deal and give the B1G and SEC 80% and we'll take 20%"... then Clemson absolutely has the right to self-preservation, and I think that is how a judge would find.
It is one of the reason's Clemson waited until after the CFP numbers were released, then referenced the in the suit.

I agree. I posted as to say just because Clemson signed the GOR contract that everyone says is Ironclad there are obviously some interpretation in these laws.
