Beamer Crying
Oct 12, 2022, 7:29 AM
|

Did any of yall see the press conference after the Kentucky game where Beamer was crying because they won the game against Kentucky? I use to think he was a good guy but I think he is fake. The coots call Dabo a cheerleader coach that made the right hires, well that is laughable when their coach is way worse than Dabo ever was.

It’s crazy how people say Dabo and Beaner have similar backgrounds.
Their backgrounds are NOTHING alike.
The only thing they have in common is neither one was a coordinator, and that’s not necessarily a good thing. That’s not the part of Dabo’s story that made him so successful.

I agree. Dabo is nothing like Beamer. Every time I see Beamer and hear some things that he says, I think he is a clown.

Beamer is a privileged coach’s kid, who grew up with money and a well known name to help him wherever he went. Dabo came from a broken family, had to bust his ### at Bama and when he came to Clemson. He’s worked for everything he has Not alike in any way.

A big win against a team without their projected 1st round QB. Then go on to say in the locker room about keeping it classy because of Stoops talk at SEC media days and then throwing on the sunglasses to mock what Stoops said. That is what is fake. I understand the dancing in the locker room and having fun but do not preach being classy and then continue to do that. Beamer could have just come out and talked sh** about what stoops said and then put the shades on and dance. Don't be a hypocrite just do one or the other.

I agree, it is a game they were not expected to win whether Kentucky had their QB or not. It's one step in their journey to respectability. Clemson fans don't need to lower themselves to putting the Gamecocks down to feel better about ourselves. We just need to focus on Clemson and winning out.

Yes, Baby Beamer was crying like one of those 18 year old girls who get 'picked for Hollywood' after singing an out of pitch song on one of those reality-type TV contest shows.
You know ... fighting back the tears, looking away while 'gathering himself,' and then bravely coming back to face the camera and the adoring crowd while praising God or Zeus or some pop music star.
Thoroughly revolting.

I agree with your statement. After last year I kinda thought Beamer was a likeable coach and it seemed like he was gonna even make some Clemson fans like him.
After his antics in the offseason and just how he acts as a head coach, I can't stand him anymore. Dude is the ultimate cheerleader and a clown. He will be gone within the next couple of years just like other USC coaches.

Dollars to donuts he goes to a school like VT or Oklahoma the minute he's successful and those schools really try for him. He wasn't gonna dash for VT or OU after only one season at SCar, but I imagine either position will open up again in the near to intermediate future.
SCar's current ceiling is 8-9 wins if they get lucky against a couple on the schedule, with the most likely median 7 wins. You're almost certainly not beating out Georgia for the SEC-Least title, especially now with Tennessee on the up and up (if they can continue). And if somehow, SCar puts together a team that wins the East (if Georgia has a "down" year or loses a stinker). they're getting clapped by whomever is coming out of the West.
Beamer had to have known this was the ceiling at SCar when he took the job. VT or OU could better equip him for consistent long-term success, and hell I'd even be fine if he took the VT job. IMO, I'd rather see him succeed at VT and actually bring that program back to where they were instead of doing that at SCar. In my experience, VT folks are a lot less obnoxious than SCar folks.
I do hate how chummy he and Dabo are. I want the hateful rivalry back. I liked it when there was no love lost between us. It nauseates me seeing Dabo running around with Shane's kids. I know Dabo's too decent of a man to not be kind to Shane and his family, but man I wish it was hateful and competitive. Clapping them every year is fun, but I wish the game actually mattered nationally like it did for my first few years as a student.

is an overrated seven or eight win team.
Without their starting QB, they are a .500 team at best.

Don't worry, he's practicing by watching film of Gamecock's epic victory vs. SC State.
For real tears, all he has to watch is 0 - 30 vs. you-know-who.

It was their first road win and win over a ranked opponent since 2019. Of course they were going to act like they won the Super Bowl. They don’t win those games very Often so they have to take what they can get ?
