This year...
...in his first year EVER starting, and just his 5th year total even playing the QB position whatsoever.
Why is nobody discussing the possibility that this kid may just improve?
I don't think he has hit his ceiling quite yet...
TL may be the best QB and pro prospect when all of the dust settles on their Clemson careers.
But Kelly could make some serious noise for us this year.

Yeah his QBR was one point higher than Jake Bentley so I'd say he is an absolutely ideal QB.

Then you should have said passer rating. Also how convient you use the formula that doesn't take into account level of competition, garbage time, dropped balls/throw aways, and the degree of difficulty each throw has.

Don't think we want a formula that gets that detailed KB's stats would probably look even worse. I mean if you wanna continue to defend Kelly as being one of the best QBs in the country be my quest. Decent runner sure.

KB’s just not a very good passser that’s his biggest problem. His running skills are right up there with Watson’s, but it gets tough to run the football as a quarterback when you’re not respected as a passer. That being said, if he can improve his passing game there is no reason why he can’t be the starter.

But if TL has a good enough grasp of the playbook, then I'd like to see him get into the rotation in some way. He has the kind of talent that no amount of "improvement" on KBs part could overcome, and thats not a knock on Kelly by any means
Also, the fact that he was a "Manning finalist" should have no bearing on the subject whatsoever
