Yup - made one tackle against Stanford and has a torn meniscus with surgery. He’s a can’t miss guy though and will be fine next year, assuming there is a 2021 season for the PAC 12.

From what we’ve seen from Trenton Simpson, don’t think I’d take anyone else over him. Very glad for how it worked out. Simpson seems to always be happy and excited, flies all over the field. Can blitz and cover almost equally well. Missed a couple angles on tackles here and there in different games, but he’s just going to continue to be featured more and more by BV. Oh yeah, and he really really wanted to be a Tiger!

Here’s another thing. Simpson is playing while Flowe is sitting on the side injured. Who knows if Flowe would have gotten injured here but we do know Simpson is playing a lot of snaps his true Freshman year while Flowe isn’t.
I agree and wouldn’t trade one for the other. Simpson truly wanted to come to Clemson which means more to me than rankings or stars.

With Simpson playing, he is gaining precious experience on the field. With Flowe sitting on the sidelines injured, he is gaining the same experience that guys who never get to play !!!

I think it speaks volumes to recruiting now as well we have so many TRUE Freshman that are contributing major and meaningful snaps in this team.

Knee injury. Done for the year.
Time will tell but I think we did better by getting Simpson.
All Simpson has to do is gain ~15 lbs, master the playbook and we'll have an absolute monster on the outside.
