Just WOW an incredible swing for the fences on a spinning

Take a look at this hit in slow motion! This is incredible she hit this spinning inside duck to the opposite side of the park over the fence. 999 out of a 1000 this is a popup foul, how she got that Home-run is truly amazing form and follow through. Only Valerie could pull that off.

Good pitching wouldn’t you say?
So with a great pitcher and a great hitter one will rise to the top. I love how she plays but must learn to elevate her hitting against big time pitchers. Against VT she was basically o-fer.

Up and down the line-up we've been in a hitting slump. That Emily Kirby from Liberty is the real deal but she got a lot of our team to chase. Same with that great pitcher from Northwestern. We're getting there. Easy to forget sometime that we're such a young program. Need a good weekend.

Thanks for the thread last night... Again. I just have the phone so on nights the men baseballers are on at the same time, I flip back and forth and your thread helps when I miss a couple batters.
I look for Tech to make some serious noise in the regionals. They'll definitely be hosting imo, and most likely a national seed.

plus there may be a few folks that need to catch up or that don't get the games.
I agree that VT is one of the better teams in the nation; ACC is stacked. I just looked up Duke's stats...21-3, 11 game winning streak, leading ACC in BA @ .346 (we are 9th @ .278). This weekend we'll see how much we've improved since the VT series.

Ansley Gilstrap is an assistant coach with Winthrop but was Clemson’s starting shortstop the last 2 years (maybe 3). In between the 4th and 5th inning I said to her “I guess you didn’t have to do much scouting for today” her reply was a chuckle and the following statement “the only thing I really emphasized was not to give Valerie anything to hit”.
