We had a receiver wide open in the middle of the field standing on the goal line. I think it was Antonio Williams. Can't make out the number. Should have been ball game. That's the breaks I guess. We had our chances.

Cade goes through spurts where he seems to see the field better, then reverts back. This has been one of the things that kills me, and one of the things that keeps him from being elite, he does not see the field well, at all.

That could be an issue, but usually when that happens you scheme passing lanes with your offensive linemen and your QB has to get used to being in the pocket. Point is there are ways to limit this issue and if his height is a factor it is something he needs to adapt too and should have by now. I mean Flutie was no Wilt Chamberlain and he saw the field better than most taller QB's. Speaking of BC, Thomas Castellanos, BC's former QB is only 5'9" and in my opinion see's the field better than Cade, so....could be a limiting factor, but it is most likely not.

He left the pocket too soon. He’s been better about that this year. I expect him to continue to improve.

He is going to get better, but he will never be elite. He just does not see the field and has questionable arm strength, and makes questionable decisions at times. His decision making will get better next year (if he continues to work at it) and his confidence in his OL will improve. I think a good deal of his issues early on were with the confidence in his OL. We saw that creep back in later on this season when the OL injuries started piling up a bit and us being so thin their.

Yea, maybe he will improve by the team he graduates or moves on. The time to improve has long since passed.

The trick play fumble shook him back to old habits. Remember all the disastrous turnovers last year. The coaches should not have put him in that position. A trick play was not needed. Cade was playing extremely well up until that point.

And Mafah should not be in on trick plays. He's a bruiser, not a cruiser. Too slow for all the ball movement.

Drifted to the right and felt the pressure to get the ball out
If he wouldve stepped up into the pocket we’re not complaining today

Yes, most of us saw that. Cade can have moments/flashes of brilliance. Then there are those moments when he reminds us that he's not quite there yet as a QB. That was one of those moments.
