Is it also correct to say that teams can and do battle out of losers brackets? Yes, yes I believe it is.
Anyway, just checking because it appears like a couple of dudes in here must have thought it was single elimination.

Not at all. We have one freshman starter left. Then Bailey if we were to win. Then nothing. Allen, Dvkorsky etc. do not give any confidence of winning a regional. Darden also poo

This team is cooked. They'll start Bailey tomorrow or maybe Darden and just get smoked...running out of below average hitters or players like Purify, Priest, and Creighton is why we suck.

In case you anyone missed it, it’s sarcasm. I’m so tired of the “Negative Nancies” and the always doom and gloom perspective. Yes, our Tigers may not advance, but they have had a good season.
Personally, I believe our Tigers are 1-2 seasons removed from truly being elite and challenging for a National Championship due to pitching supremacy AND, perhaps most importantly, DEPTH.
Regardless of the next game and ultimate outcome, I’m proud of our team and the job Bakich has done.
I’m not blind to the flaws of this team (mainly truly dominant pitching with solid depth and perhaps lacking a bit of pop in the bats), but as a fan I also understand that the better team doesn’t always win. Baseball ins not only difficult to always win with a round bat and a round ball (unexpected results), but a single pitcher can either dominate or deflate a team with his performance.
Ultimately, our Tigers are a really good team that may even advance to Omaha, but I’m not expecting a National Championship THIS year. Regardless of the outcome, I’m a proud Tiger fan.
Most importantly? I’m a realistic Tiger fan who understands baseball and will support our team regardless.
