To be fair...2 of them were clearly not actually top 4 teams. And UGA lost their QB.
Oregon getting crushed was a surprise to me.

They should have stopped at 8 with no bye. Stakes would have been higher in that first round for all and I think the hype for the games would have been better. 12 and 16 is too watered down. 8 (4 P4 champions, G5 champion, 2 highest rated P4 non champions and 1 at large)

Simple fix for this is reseeding after the first round so you don't have a Penn State scenario where a 5 or 6 seed get a potentially easier path than a top 4 seed.
Personally, I think it's fine G5 gets at least one in because who doesn't love an underdog story. Most years they probably don't get a bye anyhow and end up playing an at large bid team.
