used in each American football contest. By rule each team is allowed to use their own balls for offensive possession or kicking as long as their balls meet NCAA regulations for size, weight, and inflation. It would seem CU could save money and possibly preserve the Hill by using the other teams balls instead of our own.

I think the NCAA rules committee adopted the ball rule in the early 80's.
