Seems like Republicans spare no expense hurting people, but never want to spend a dime helping people.

So Jesus like.

What percentage of your income are you donating to help the downtrodden?

Hopefully, at least 10%.

If not, leave Jesus out of the discussion.

when you donate 10% to the church, I can promise the vast sum of that covers their operating expenses and does not end up in the hands of the poor. If you want to donate to your church, or any cause, give them canned food and old clothing.

I agree with that. Money is still helpful and Samaritan’s Purse, whether you agree with Franklin Graham’s politics or not, is a good place to donate your money.

Same for Habitat for Humanity.

Some churches do a good job with the money they receive and are doing great things in their community and abroad, but I would agree that many churches are more interested in building buildings instead of building up the lives of those in need.

LOL. I’m not Baptist, but can assure you the Presbyterians and Methodists aren’t far behind in aiding the construction industry.

food and clothes to the poor.

Our small church is doing Vacation Bible School (VBS) next week. We have maybe 15 elementary aged kids. But 80 kids will show up for VBS. Many of these kids don't know who Jesus is. But, they will be shown God's love and love in general. Maybe something they see or hear will stick. VBS costs money to run - that money comes from tithes.

Heck - we pay the preacher, the youth pastor, and the power bill (operational expenses). Every other position is volunteer. More of our tithing goes to the enrichment of others than you're giving credit for...

Who exactly have Republicans "hurt" by deploying troops to protect federal buildings and employees from deranged left wing trash, who primarily dont even appear to be citizens of this country, who want to destroy them? Were you this concerned about cost when Biden ushered in 20 million of these people and put them up in hotels with maxed out EBT cards? Crawl back under your rock troll.
