Went to the Wade Hampton vs Blue Ridge game last night as my boy is a starting DE.

First off, can no one even kick an extra point? Are the kickers that bad that they don’t even attempt them? Zero were attempted. 2nd, passing the ball rarely happens and when it does it’s not normally a great outcome, WH QB was 1-7 on passing with a pick 6, 2 holding calls, and the rest incomplete.

Was 8-14 with 3 min left and WH drove down and scored to go up 16-14. On the next BR possession they have to throw bc of the time left and my son (proud Dad moment) gets his hands up while rushing the QB and tips the ball into his players hands which is returned for a pick 6. Kid was so pumped! Final score 24-14 so it was fun but at times hard to watch w all the penalties, TOs, no kicking game etc.

Son played last night here in Atlanta...

won 14-7. Our team had 3 punts blocked and 1 extra point. Coach said after game "we haven't practiced those" (they have been practicing since May)

Other fun highlights:
We completed a LONG 75 yard pass where kid pulls his hamstring running into the endzone, drops ball and falls into a heap, upon which the other team returned it back to the 50 yard line.

3:00 left in 4th quarter, we have super scrubs in on defense, and visiting team is driving down field, 1st and goal on 3 yard line. MASSIVE lightning nearby, huge boom, game called and WE WIN!
