The vast majority of us on here are CU basketball fans just as much as we are CU football fans. We pull for Brownell because he represents CU in the same manner we pull for Dabo because he represents CU.
Enough with the comparisons. Enough with the blatant shots at Dabo and the football program for not using the portal, or for not being in the playoff every year.
Simply put, the football team has two national championships in an era where only 4 teams get a chance at the title. Basketball has 60+ teams with a shot every year. The final 8 run was awesome, but to be fair the probability of repeating that soon is very slim. Happened once. The current football program played for 4 titles and won 2 in the same time frame.
Please do us a favor. Don’t let your basketball insight be hindered or hidden behind your jealously of the common love for what Dabo and this football program has done and is still doing. You have a lot to offer with basketball knowledge of the program. Don’t ruin it with mindless drivel. Give us good insight for the basketball program and leave it at that.

I like Judge's take on Basketball; he's certainly more in tune with it than most. I think this is a constructive thread.

My criticism of it at times has nothing to do with jealousy. It’s based on frustration that it routinely squanders talent and resources these days. It makes me sad.

That's a little cringe.
I do appreciate JK bball knowledge but the Dabo trolling gets old as well.
That said, CBB may have figured out this portal thing which is great for him as he was not a great HS recruiter. If that makes Clemson a better Bball team then I am all for it.

How has dabo "squandered" talent when he has multiple acc titles, 2 national titles, several January bowl wins, and has put clemson on the map nationally? Any objective fan knows we aren't going to win it all every year. And tbh other than last year, dabo has had us in a position to posibly make the playoffs every year since they started.

Moreover, it is rivalry week and fans our worried about the college football playoffs as well. It's pretty obvious where the main focus is in sports right now. When the ACC basketball tournament is about to happen or March Madness is about to begin, people won't be freaking out about a baseball win. They will be happy, but the main focus will be on hoops for a bit.

I agree. Judge has a lot of knowledge that people like myself, who know very little about basketball, could learn some things from. However his posts always wind up in some kind of comparison with football which turns me off immediately. To be fair, I think now people just attack him even when he hasn't said anything derogatory, but he laid that foundation. Because the reality of it is that Football and Basketball can never compare to Tiger Baseball..... haha. Seriously Judge just talk basketball without all the extras and I think most people would be fine with that.

You’re one of those people who lives and breathes Clemson football. You’re obsessed. You can’t possibly understand why anyone wouldn’t feel the same way you do, so when they criticize it or question it the only way you know how to rationalize it is to tell yourself they are jealous.

placement of where the headline articles were placed on the front page of TNET, with mention of several football articles being in front of the basketball game headline.
Look, it's rivalry week and the championship phase of the football season. And we still have a chip and a chair.
Just like with any newspaper, or media outlet, those headlines will always come before an early season-opening basketball tournament and a win against a non-ranked opponent. ESPN still doesn't have the NCAAM tab in the list above the top of their homepage yet. You still have to go to "MORE SPORTS".
There was a lot to be excited about the past two games with the play of the basketball team (Scheff, Dillon and Del's play, Wiggins having 14, etc.). Let's keep the talk to the games instead of the comparisons.

It included articles about Clemson football, CFP playoffs, Mack Brown being fired, and Clemson women’s basketball.
The point was that it was buried under around 8 other articles, which was weird.
