They've already offered the job to someone, just waiting on the regular season to finish before announcing because the new hire is still coaching.

Not as crazy as it sounds at first. He may be jumping from Mich before he’s pushed. NFL is more likely, but I could see him at Tamu.

Agree with the first part, but do not think it's an NFL coach. They need to be a college NIL program and the NFL doesn't offer that experience skillset.
It's going to be a big name college coach, definite established Power 5 and to me, that's a short list.
Dan Lanning jumps out...Mike Norvell - now, that would be hysterical!
