Forgive me in advance, but is Coach Scott back in any capacity at Clemson other than being Dabo’s neighbor? If he isn’t, do you think he will return and maybe learn the Riley Offense and take over for Coach Riley at OC when he lands a head coaching job sometime in the future?

The last I heard, he was staying away from football for awhile and do the family thing. January could bring him back into football I think.

I agree he'll get the HC calls/opportunities. However, I think (or maybe, hope) he's smart enough to stay a few years. For most people, those "instant success, then promotion" opportunities tend to come to a screeching halt at some point.

Morris wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all. I was a fan. Hated he only had the one season with Watson. And that was only parts of a season.

I always thought it would have been fun to see Chad as the OC with the defenses we had after he left. When his offense first started putting up monster numbers at Clemson, we didn’t have much on defense. (Compared to the offense)

I give Chad credit for picking us up off the mat, offensively. But ultimately, his fast-paced offense was a 1-trick pony. If you can’t make first downs and let your defense rest between series, the fast pace becomes your Achilles heel.

Unless the Chad becomes a muddling problem during this season with any persistent over-assertions beyond his advance game duties to our coaching staff! Each of our coaches need to have free reign in their own respective responsibilities!

He's just been helping out on occassions during Summer camp and practices, but not officially part of the staff. Next year could be different.
