Anyone else spend an hour and half listening to the podcast interview with Larry Williams? That was some great stories told about DW4, hosting Tony Steward, and Scott’s thoughts about where college football is going with NIL etc.
My two biggest takeaways 1) Jeff and his wife have decided to raise their young kids in Clemson, so he’s sticking around for awhile. 2) His confidence that Dabo will adapt to the challenges of the new college football lanscape.

No, but heard Deptula talking about it on The Roar. Feels NCAA will soon not be in control of football. Feels that more massive changes to the off the field aspect of the game are on the way. Said he recruited Tee Higgins for 3.5 years before he signed his LOI. He said today that someone would show up with a $1,000,000 NIL deal the day before NSD, and the time spent developing the relationship would be lost. Also, with the portal and NIL, he thinks the days of a school building a wide receiver room like Clemson had in its prime are gone.

Right, he mentioned guys getting a phone call and committing the next day without ever having stepped onto that school’s campus. Sad situation. He also talked about how he thinks the athletic departments will become affiliates of the universities so that the AD will be directly responsible to sign athletes to contracts once football separates from the NCAA. This way they aren’t employees directly under the university presidents, who don’t want the heat for paying 200-300 grand to a teenager while paying experienced instructors half that amount.

Google “jeff scott clemson podcast” I’m not sure if TNet admins are ok with posting links to competitor platforms.

I was really disappointed Jeff Scott didn't work out at USF. I think it speaks more to USF's lack of commitment and the mess he inherited from Charlie Strong than it does Jeff Scott's potential as a coach.
He hosted a clinic for in state coaches his first year and you could tell he had a great vision for the program and how much he loved the culture around Clemson.

Jeff and his daddy don't need to be at Clemson again...if you can't head coach at home...why should Clemson have to rehabilitate a loser?
