I understand Jeff Scott's Instagram post is causing quite a stir. We spoke briefly and he said right now he just wants to spend time with family.
That's the same message I'm getting from those around him.

As much as he deferred from DJ, he didnt pull punches on “other positions”. While not named, there’s no way he hangs DJ’s shortcomings on the RBs or TEs. So that leaves WR and OL. Based on Austin being a first-year coach, WRs are the logical (obvious to me) implication.
I wouldn’t bet on him firing Grisham. But if he fires anyone, thats my bet.

… which likely means they just haven’t yet ironed out the details on his job.
No one as smart as Jeff goes around telling everyone they got a job, when it’s not official yet.
And of course he’s spending time with his family! Why wouldn’t he?

I'm just as pissed at Dabo for slow walking much needed minor changes/upgrades to philosophy as the CFB landscape changes... as many on here are...BUT changes are coming b/c CDS sees he must and he's getting nudged a bit.
Mimic what BAMA and UGA are doing.......be cutting edge again....we once were...and can be again...

T3: You see the changes already made don't you??....need me to list them for you (not being rude...but its clearly out there if you are closely paying attention). Some of these have been b/c he has been nudged a bit. You realize I am giving him credit for these changes right???? You should be happy he is implementing some changes b/c it shuld make us better.....but he deserves some scrutiny b/c he has been too slow to adopt.
Everyone has a boss/advisors/etc.....Swim has it partially correct......I'll leave it at that....

Thanks. With all of the comments I wasn't sure what to think. I hope that it means that he is coming back in some role. I didn't expect recruiting or the WR's to take the step back they did when he left, but his absence, in hindsight, seems to be the most likely reason.

Thanks for the info DavidHood® but I think whether Jeff was going to be taking a year off or if he was going to be announced as the new OC next week.. we would likely get this same response from him publicly. He isnt going to pre-empt Dabo's announcements and talks with staff.
So an interesting post... we wait and see.

Why else would he be in Clemson right now? That's not an old photo, you can tell by his children that it's at least recent.
Plus he certainly knows that post would cause a big stir. He's not the type to do something like that just for attention. I'm cautiously optimistic!
