Here on the porch, this lazy day feels like early Fall. The stress of last Saturday has dulled a little. My Branch is full of birds washing themselves. Migrants have not started showing yet as it is still Summer for a couple more weeks.
A couple critters are relaxing near the jaws of death. Miss Agnes can't quite reach that Praying Mantis, but she is very patience.
The Map turtle on the gator is in less peril than it appears.
I posted here minutes ago that Fall Migration has not started. Then posing on the copper spinner was a Warbler trying to get to the Branch for water. Cardinal scared him off, but I got a couple bad photos seconds later. Maybe I can get better later?
I know most will disagree, but this is a Chestnut-sided Warbler which is very rare in my neck of the woods. This the adult male in his Winter feathers.
