I've worn a Clemson hat in Alabama some lately.

It hasn't gone over well. The odd thing is it's not the ball cap and work boots crowd that's letting me know they don't like it. It's the 35-45 year old guys that come casually dressed to Wednesday night Bible study with their family. They're not saying anything but the hatred in their expressions is over the top mean.
The latest one topped them all. A group of uniformed policemen gave me looks that could kill at a BBQ restaurant yesterday. Two went so far as to get between me and the exit on my way out after I washed up in the restroom.
Bama fans don't play.

Right after I got out of service, I worked construction in Alabama. The guys I worked with were pretty decent, good guys, until you mentioned Alabama football, and then they became crazy. It was like turning on some kind of switch, from sane person to insane person.
