Clemson owns the best national championship win that’s ever happened in college football history.
The largest blowout in a national championship was Georgia vs TCU, 65-7. But we all kind of expected a blowout anyways.
Alabama beat Ohio State 52-24. In 2020. By 28 points.
In the COVID year where Ohio State was 6-0 going into the CFP.
I mean, Dabo Swinney beating Saban by 28 points is more impressive than Saban beating stupid Ryan Day by 28 points.
All that said, Clemson beating the best coach of all time by 28 points with a a true freshman QB, it’s unheard of.
Nobody wants to recognize that win as anything like that.
But that is the single greatest title win there has ever been.
It’s obviously been easy for many people to forget what Clemson is. And it’s hilarious.

They should be paying tribute to Dabo Swinney as compensation for that.
The disrespect was so obvious and they, obviously, either didn’t know what they were talking about, or they thought Clemson had a good chance, but didn’t care and were going to do it anyways.
Either way, give us a segment every da*n day about it on front page ESPN. Bunch of idiots

That’s fantastic. I don’t listen to Stephen A Smith so I had not heard this. I knew the talking heads were saying that Bama team was easily the best team ever but knowing a guy like SAS had to eat those words is great.

and put it directly on the throats of Alabama when his team, the Clemson Tigers, ran off the last 10+ minutes of the football game to completely demoralize that team.
Clemson easily scores at minimum another TD and wins by 35 if not for our legendary coach, who crushed another legendary coach. It was a thing of beauty, most impressive win I have witnessed including some of those other routes...based on the fact most were saying that the Alabama team was possibly the best of all time. Not so fast, it was Clemson that is in the conversation for best team ever!!!

Post of the year bc not even that many Clemson fans really believed we would win that game mainly bc of all the bragging done by talking heads and sports networks all were saying that was the best offensive team that Bama had ever had throughout their history of the game!!!

That remained Alabama's worst loss under Saban when he retired.

Their defense was catching so much praise
Along with Tua and Jerry Jeudy and I think Najee Harris.
Just so many NFL players on both teams, but they could’ve laid it out and actually sounded reasonable. If we didn’t go into win 44-16.
