I've got to tip my hat to Caden Grice!

After his struggles last year and at the beginning of this year it seemed we would never see what made him a Freshman All-American again. His bat seems to be back and he has given us what we were severely lacking in a consistent starting pitcher.

I'm also impressed that he kept his head up during that year and a half long struggle. A select few here were completely over the top in calling him out repeatedly during that time. It looks like he is a great teammate and loves Clemson to the bone. He definitely has the frame and talent to take it to the next level if he continues to finish his career strong.

Yep, he has really responded well this year. It would have been easy to get down on himself and maybe he did for a while, but he is playing well now. I have not been able to keep up closely, but it seems like he hits better when he is pitching more.

You're exactly right. His hitting began to improve right around when he started pitching again. It obviously allowed him to get his mind out fo the gutter there. Props to Bakich.

That was such an epic blast! Reminded me of some of Beer's and Michael Johnson's dingers.

spot in the hitting order being a total disaster. We were playing 8 on 9 offensively for a lot of those games. Still are whenever the opposing team is smart enough to only throw him breaking pitches.

I am sure he spends extra time working on hitting a curve ball, but so far, no good results. With that hitting resume, he better refine himself as a pitcher, because he ain't making it to the major leagues as a hitter. Major League pitchers eat players who can't hit the curve for a snack.

Baseball will mentally chew you up and spit you out. It does it to every player at some point. You just have to keep battling and dig yourself out.

Sucks, but its a slow grind to get yourself back where you should be
