This is so accurate. As soon as you begin to live by morals and doing the right things, you can immediately see more people for some reason have some problem with you for just who you are.
It’s just a stage of maturity that needs to be reached by some like Lamar and maybe Antonio Brown as well.
This is why you come to Clemson to get coached by Dabo Swinney. LOOK AT TLAW, he’s been molded into a leader and understands the importance of others around him. Good lord Lamar, you’re one person in a whole franchise.

I think Lamar Jackson is responding to people who say he sat out because of money, because Lamar claims he say out because of injury. He missed a lot last year.
Coach Prime is just stating let people say what they want to say. They’re just people talking without knowledge. And for Lamar to stop putting focus to them and let them be them.

Yeah I don't think it's illustrative of some great enlightenment to label those who disagree with you as fools constantly in a single post. Deon is telling Lamar hes right and everyone else is wrong with that post. The most accurate use of that word in Lamar's context is the old legal saying a man who represents himself has a fool for a client.

Why not? I'm genuinely curious.
I've seen several of Prime's speeches during team meetings and all of them have been incredible. Very motivating for his players with regards to football and also life. From the outside looking in, it looks like his players are going to benefit in so many ways having him as their head coach.

Different light than some on this board. Sure a lot of things he said about competing, working hard, following the rules were absolutely correct; but how does he know anything about whether that audience was doing any of that. Seek first to understand then to be understood. He didn't know a dayum thing about any of those players and before he took 10 seconds to learn about them he's already telling them they are of no worth to him and to get in the portal. TCU went 5-7 in 2021 did sonny Dykes come in and cut everyone, no? His story was unique but he found a way to use the team he had and make him better. Deon had always been about Deon this is just one of many examples of that. His time a CU is going to be about glorifying his own name and that of his son.

Colorado has had 3 winning seasons in 2 decades. The program has been a total disaster. So how does he know about the audience? The results speak for themselves.

Jesus’ last public teaching had the Suducees come and make fun about the Resurrection.
“In the resurrection, when they rise again, whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as wife.” they mocked Jesus. If he had answered down to their level (or folly) then he’d be a fool himself.
Jesus answered, “Is this not the reason you are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?….”
It’s not about labeling fools as fools, it’s just about letting how you deal with them. Even Jesus could not contain his natural judgment instinct of obvious fools, but he handled them correctly.

What about him doesn’t appeal?
I see in Deion the great things that you see in the great coaches. The drive to mold young boys into men. Regardless of how he does it, it’s a lot better than what we see from Kirby Smart and Jumbo Fisher and Brian Kelly and so on. Those guys don’t give a rip about nothing but the money. Deion has obvious higher intentions and guidance for players.
