ITT we discuss John Mayer

On one hand, the dude can really play guitar. He has so much talent it is incredible. He gets beautiful women, he hangs out with rock stars, movie stars, all the lovely people. He is rich AF and seems to have no care in the world.
On the other hand, he is a huge cheesedick (also, rumor has it he is packing a Mackey down "there").
He dropped a new song today, sounds eerily similar to Africa by Toto. It is catchy.

Gravity - Good Tune
New Light - Good Tune but cheesy AF
But there is so much cheesy rock in his repertoire.

I was at Dead and Co. and the crowd started buzzing about a show after Dead and Co. with Mayer and Chapelle. We went online and bought tickets and raced across atlanta to get to the venue.
We get inside and they lock up our cellphones. Dave comes out and tells some jokes. John shows up and immediately comes on stage, grabs a guitar and plays some background music while Dave tells jokes. The two go back and forth swapping stories and whatnot. Then John takes requests and acts like he doesn't remember his own songs bc he's been so deep in Dead music. This was right after Prince died. John plays purple Rain and Chapelle sings. One of the best nights ever. John was asking dave to tell stories, Dave was requesting a bunch of random songs and John was playing. Dave sang all sorts of stuff. They were stoned AF. It was seriously entertaining.
I think they called it "Controlled Chaos" or something like that. They did a few of them when Dead and Company's tour would overlap with Chapelle's.

I hadn't had a haircut since last August. Got tired of it always getting in my eyes and tickling my nose (very annoying). So got it all hacked off. Having long hair is great about 90% of the time, but it is REALLY a PITA at certain times. I see why women get extensions and wear wigs and stuff they can remove and replace.
Now I look like a Marine, so short I can't even part it. Down at least one hatsize, maybe more. Should be good through Christmas at least.

How are you going to have that synth tone that is straight up lifted from Africa, AND bongo drums, AND THEN have the nerve to sing some wetblanketass lyrics on top of it. Total flaccid peanus of a song.
